Each camp will have a maximum of 15 - 39 players.
the campers are split up into sub-groups of the same age and ability
with their own coach. This is to
allow for lower coach to player ratios. There are numerous support staff to give each camper as much individual
attention as possible. Players will be pulled off to the side if
they need extra attention on specific skills. Each groups on-ice drills will
either be run by the coach or the Director.
On-Ice Groups: Each sub-group will be pushed to go
at and ABOVE THEIR COMFORT LEVEL. Each player will be expected
to raise their standards of performance. "Effort
Produces Results"
"The
individual attention he gets and the low student/instructor ratio makes
for such great learning." Laura J. (GA)
Scrimmages:
 |
All camps will finish their daily
on-ice with a ten-minute
small game controlled
scrimmage. The players will use different
skills while
in a game environment. |
Equipment: In addition to normal pucks and cones,
Hockey techniques uses many innovative pieces of equipment to help players
develop certain skills. (Bungie Cords, Resistance Belts, Reaction
Balls and Belts (Camper Favorites), Jump Pads, Weighted and mini pucks, Stickhandling
tubes, Attack Triangles, and more)
* Note: All equipment mentioned may not be used at
every program.

This is the most popular option. Players stay
for the full day. It would include everything that comes with the
"On-ice Only Camp" option, plus a dryland workout.
Dryland Workout
No watching TV & No video games, this is a
real workout program designed for players of all ages. We have found
the perfect mix of hard work (players will get sore muscles) and fun to
make sure the players work hard. As they get older, the workout gets
more intense.
In addition to the workout program, Hockey Techniques
brings net, pucks and boards with us to every location for off-ice
shooting practice and instruction.
Equipment: Hockey Techniques uses many
innovative pieces of equipment to help players develop certain skills.
(Speed Ladders, Jumping Pads, Balance Boards, Reaction Balls (a favorite
with all campers), Agility Flag Games, Close Gap Ropes, Medicine
Balls, and much more - some equipment may not be used at all locations).

The clinics are formatted differently than the
summer camps. Campers will be split up into subgroups by age and
ability. All clinic prices
include only on-ice

Our goal is to have every camper leave with the feeling of
success and accomplishment. We strive for a competitive environment in
which the campers are challenged to perform at and above their comfort level
and ability. Every player should complete the camp or clinic with the
knowledge that they worked extremely hard and by doing so they developed new
skills and had fun in a quality learning environment.

"Effort Produces Results"©
Hockey Techniques has tried to pass along this slogan to all
of its campers. It is certainly a quote that holds true not only at
our camps and clinics, but also in real life. The more effort that a
camper puts into the drills the more he or she will improve. The
Hockey Techniques staff will also follow the slogan and lead by example.
