on 3 Cross-ice Rules & Regulations 1. Full
ice hockey equipment is required to play in the Hockey Techniques 3 on 3 Spring
Hockey League. This includes mouthpieces. 2.
All scorekeeping conducted during 3 on 3 games will be done so by Hockey
Techniques Spring Hockey League team coaches. 3.
After a goal, official will restart play with a different puck in a designated
starting area. 4.
Warnings will be issued to teams and/or players who, at the sound of the horn,
do not immediately exit the ice surface to keep the game moving. Teams
who continually play dead pucks at the end of a shift (after the horn has
sounded) will be issued a penalty. 5.
Goaltenders are not allowed to freeze the puck. Accordingly, all players
must give the goaltender sufficient space to play the puck. If the on-ice
official assesses that the goaltender is not given adequate special
allowance to safely move the puck, the play is whistled dead and a
different puck will be played. 6.
If a penalty occurs, the on-ice official will signify a penalty by blowing a
whistle and awarding a penalty shot to the player who the infraction
occurred against. The set up for all penalty shot shall be as follows:
Withstanding the player taking the shot, the remaining players on the ice surface
shall place themselves behind the shooter. These players can follow up
the shooter, but must remain behind the shooter at all times. Any and all rebound
opportunities that may result from the penalty shot sequence are considered
playable. NOTE: All called infractions result in a penalty shot awarded to
the opposing team. If a bench penalty is called by the on-ice official, any
player on the ice for the opposing team will be permitted to take the
penalty shot. 7.
The Hockey Techniques 3 on 3 Spring Hockey League has a zero tolerance for
unsportsmanlike conduct or any attempt to injure. The Hockey
Techniques Director reserves the right to remove any player from the league
without refund for any such actions. All such incidents will be
reviewed by the Hockey Techniques 3 on 3 Spring Hockey League
Director. 8.
If any on-ice injury should occur, the game is immediately stopped and
shall resume only when the 9.
Team Points are awarded as such: 10.
If the puck is hit with a high stick or a hand pass, the referee will give the
puck to opposing team. 11.
Timeouts are not allotted nor permitted in the Hockey Techniques 3 on 3
Spring Hockey League. 12.
Each team may remove (pull) its goaltender for one (1) shift only during the
last three (3) minutes 13. Hockey
Techniques 3 on 3 Spring Hockey League reserves the right to balance or realign
all team rosters throughout the duration of the Hockey Techniques 3 on
3 Spring Hockey League season.
